After a short interview with President Alastair Crombie, our new recording of the 'Brumbies Song' was played throughout the Stadium, while the Choir was filmed 'in action' live to the big screen. In a Match Program article, Brumbies Rugby CEO Andrew Fagan said: "The choir has been a traditional part of our entertainment program on game day and will continue to play a role in match day entertainment in the future". Members were so excited by the 'big screen' performance that they promptly forgot the words to the next song!!
We are pleased and proud to have been part of the Brumbies phenomenon, and hope to be actively involved for the next ten years. While the choir has grown in size and reputation, and now performs at a wide range of corporate, governmental and community events, we have rugby at our core. Singing in support of the Brumbies has been a stepping stone to being part of the Wallabies match day entertainment program; We are delighted to be invited by the ARU to perform later this year at the Springboks Test at Telstra Stadium.
Many thanks to Brumbies Rugby for helping us to keep the singing going at Canberra Stadium - and Go Brumbies!
