Tuesday 6th December MUSIC at MIDDAY Concert
More singers please, as the M@M gig sheet lists only 3 first tenors & 4 bases while 2nd tenors have 7 and baritones 12. Members are urged to do their utmost to attend on Tuesday. We will be farewelling Geoff Gray and so we need to put on the best show possible.
Music at Midday is one of our most prominent gigs. Normal indoor uniform is the dress of the day. Enter via the Stage door entrance, and Assemble in the Canberra Theatre Green Room backstage entrance, at 9.30 am for Performance 1 at 11.00 am and Performance 2 at 12.30 pm performances.
Repertoire is: National Anthem, Speed Your Journey, Our Cities Face the Sea, We Wish You a Merry Christmas (as led by Major Geoff Gray).
Please note that food and drink left in the Green Room is NOT for the ARC. There has been confusion about this in the past but, on this occasion, it has been made clear to me that the goodies are made available by the Canberra Theatre for the Band in recognition of their efforts throughout the year. Geoff asked me to emphasise that this largesse does not occur after every M@M, only at the end of the year.
Our final practice session is Tuesday 6th December
It will be held upstairs at Woden Tradies in the Bingo Room. It has been reassuring to note the expressions of appreciation for Lucy Bermingham as stand-in for the MD so far.
Final Just For Fun Numbers
Des Grayson chooses: Jerusalem; Softly As I Leave You; Let It Be Me, and: (cheeky beggar!) Sydameni Laulu.
