At Orange on Saturday evening (12/4) about 38 ARC members accompanied by a similar number of Orange MVC members and special guests presented a very successful and varied program to a receptive audience in Orange. ARC sang Brothers Sing On, Lennon & McCartney medley, Rachie (all in welsh), One, Down by the Sally Garden, and Drunken Sailor. Rachel Campbell conducted and Karen Da Silva played using the 'tablet' (no paper music) for its first Concert performance.
We also sang four songs jointly with OMVC, two of these led by Orange Conductor (Leon Paix), MD (Melanie Meers) and accompanist (Bev Glover). On the Sunday morning two OMVC guides took some 40+ members and partners on a bus tour to two local vineyards. We sang the Calypso Medley and the Brumbies song in enemy territory after a few tastings! The tour concluded with an excellently managed BBQ lunch prepared by OMVC members and very importantly, their partners.
